Notorious

I just watched "Notorious" a couple hours ago, and I can't say it was money well spent. The movie isn't bad, but it was nowhere near great. In fact, it was exactly what I expected it to be. The film reminded me of those movies you'd see on VH1, like the Jackson 5 one or Temptations one (not as bad as the MC Hammer Story). I think it's too soon to have a Biggie movie. Halfway through the movie, I was getting bored. The movie was like reading Biggie's Wikipedia page. I didn't feel like I learned anything new about his life.

For the most part, all the actors and actresses did a good job though. Gravy sounded like Biggie when he talked, all the way down to the heavy breathing. Angela Bassett sounded like Voletta Wallace, but with less of an accent. The guy that played Pac was decent I guess, but a bit foolish. The guy that played Diddy wasn't that great except for when he danced like him. The girl that played Faith Evans was decent. The guy that played Cease was horrible. He looked like a 8 year old kid throughout the movie, even though he's driving and smoking. Naturi Naughton (formerly of 3LW) was spot on as Lil' Kim. She didn't look too much like her, but when she talked and rapped, she sounded just like her

The whole theatre laughed when they showed Craig Mack (not the real Mack, but an actor). 

Overall, i'd rank this above movies like 8 Mile and Get Rich or Die Trying, which I guess isn't saying much.
