08' Wrap-Up

2008 went by like a blur. I can remember things, but can't seem to put them in the right order. Sometimes I have trouble remembering if something happened in 08' or 07'. Anyways...

Favorite Show: The Office

I originally slept on this show. I haven't even followed a show religiously since Married with Children (they don't make em' like they use to). My roommates put me onto The Office which caused me to go back and watch the seasons I missed. Some of you will probably throw tomatoes at me for not saying Entourage. I don't have HBO, and my only way of watching it is at a friends house.

Favorite Movie: The Dark Knight/Ironman/Wall-E

I'll admit, I didn't see a lot of movies this year. Especially compared to past years, but out of the movies I did see, these 3 tied for my favorites. Dark Knight and Ironman for obvious reasons. Wall-E was one that surprised me, although you can never go wrong with Pixar. I enjoyed a lot of other movies too (Pineapple Express, Tropic Thunder, Hulk, Speed Racer, Semi-Pro). I didn't count independent films.

Favorite Album: N.E.R.D. - Seeing Sounds

I probably played this album more than any other album this year. Honestly, it's the only album that stood out to me. They also put on my favorite concert of the year (I didn't see a lot of shows, but I doubt a lot of shows topped theirs.) You can argue that Kanye's joint stood out, but aside from a couple tracks, I didn't really like that album. Honorable mentions go to Rick Ross - Trilla & Snoop Dogg - Ego Trippin'.

Favorite Song: Kanye West - Paranoid

It took me forever to come up with my favorite song this year. Honestly, I can't even think back that far. Which is why I probably chose Paranoid. I didn't think I was gonna like any song on Kanye's album. How ironic that I'd choose a song off his album as my favorite of the year. I had this song on repeat since the album dropped until it got stuck in my head. Plus it's fun to sing when you're drunk.

Favorite Video Game - NBA 2K9/Fable 2

It's hard to find a game that I can keep playing long after i've had it. So far, these were the only 2 games that i'm still playing since i've bought them. I've spent hours upon hours on Fable 2 and i'm still shittin' on folks in 2k9 (ask about me). 

Favorite Restaurant: City Bistro

As if there were any other answer. Where else could I get a large plate of corned beef hash and eggs cooked by a guy with a crew cut and pajama hammer pants? Honorable mention goes to "Blood Bath" because 1. it's greasy Chinese food. 2. it's open late. And 3. it's exhilarating to know that at any moment while i'm eating, a chair can be broken on my back.

Favorite Gadget: Macbook (I was late on that one)

Favorite Clothing Item: Custom Chicago Cubs fitted (It fits!)

I can't think of anything else, which basically describes 08'. None of the above is from the first half of the year (I think).
